HP Elite 90W Thunderbolt 3 Dock not charging laptop battery

I hav a customer that has an HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2 and an HP Elite 90W Thunderbolt 3 Dock.  Everything works with the dock except it does not charge the laptop.  I have updated the BIOS and all drivers on thhe computer.  It had a 65 watt power adapter plugged into it so I tried a 90 Watt with no change.  Any Ideas?

Does the EliteBook still charge when using the power adapter it was delivered with?

The laptop does charge when the regular powe adapter is plugged directlly into it.

with the thunderbolt dock you must use the 90W power supply.

do you use this cable to connect the TB3 dock with the X360 1030 G2 ?

The following  thunderbolt 3 dock product is published by HP as being compatible with your ultrabook.

Its product number is 1DT93U. no other 90W thunderbolt 3 docks are compatible with your ultrabook.

Is that the thunderbolt 3 dock that you own that is not operating as expected?
