Hp Elite X2 1012 G2
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi everyone.

I was wondering if it is possible for us end users to upgrade the RAM in the HP Elite X2 1012 G2 ourselves?

When I purchased the laptop it had 8GB of RAM (two 4 GB modules). However, my computing needs are more intensive then when I purchased it and  being able to upgrade the RAM would be helpful).

Does anyone have any idea?

Thanks for any guidance anyone can provide.

(Note: I already saw in another forum question that it was possible to self upgrade the SSD hard drive so I will do that as well...I just would like to know whether lto order RAM at the same time so that I only have to open up the machine one time.ö

Hi

Your notebook's memory comes preconfigured at the factory and cannot be upgraded as the memory modules are an integral part (soldered) of the motherboard.

Below is the link to the service manual.

I should have thought to check the manual first.

Oh well...I will try to live on 8GB as long as I can. 🙂

Thanks for answering.
