Product: EliteBook 840 G5
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

We have an HP EliteBook 840 G5 laptop with BitLocker enabled but the PIN startup screen does not display on an external monitor.  The drivers, BIOS are both up-to-date.  Fast boot is turned off, and I've tried anywhere from 5-15 second startup delay but nothing displays on the screen.

 

Keep in mind we are using the HP G2 120w thunderbolt docking stations so I'm not all familiar with what is required for BitLocker start screen functionality.   Suggestions?

I don't have an HP EliteBook 840 G5 now. I used to use Lenovo and Dell machines and I had to put bitlocker on its screen. From my understanding, machines only know external monitors when Windows starts up and Bitlocker comes before Windows.

 

Hope this makes sense.

 

Note: I always use machines with docking stations, even now at home, except my loaner which is an HP Spectrer 15" machine.
