Product: HP EliteBook 865 G10
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11
Hello,
We've encountered a software related issue with IBM DB2 Client, not specific to a Version (Tested with 10.5 / 11.5).
The IBM DB2 Client cannot connect to a IBM DB2 Database Server when installed on an AMD G10 EliteBook, problem was reproducable.
Via normal network, the server was/is responding to ICMP and TELNET to the Database Port.
Via IBM DB2 Client, it worked less than 1 of 10 times.
Fix:
in the HP EliteBook BIOS, disable "AMD Core Performance Boost".
- Press F10 during boot to get into BIOS
- Advanced
- Power Management Options
- un-check AMD Core Performance Boost
Save and exit - problem solved.
When AMD CPB is disabled, the connection works again.
