Hello. I have a HP EliteBook x360 1030 G3 laptop. Upon pressing the power button to turn it on, the keyboard and power button light up simultaneously for about one second, then go dark for approximately five seconds, before repeating this pattern. The video illustrating this behaviour can be accessed here (66MB, 34s).

What does the blinking indicate, and what is the solution?

Thank you for your assistance.

Hello.

That is not a diagnostics code, it looks more like a power delivery problem, short circuit or something like that.

Check your power supply with a voltage multimeter first.

Try powering the laptop with another power supply.

Also try powering up without the battery.

Check the troubleshooting part in the Maintenance and Service guide for your laptop as well.

If you still cannot get it to work, take your laptop to your local HP authorized service shop for further diagnostics.

Hello, @Jupitero! Thank you for your reply. The laptop owner made personal arrangements to have the issue fixed. She informed me that some motherboard component was faulty. Going by the price she stated, that was a BIOS issue, so, a fresh flash solved the problem.
