Hello,
I bought an Elitebook 645 G9 and the documentation showed that the notebook supported USB 4 (https://support.hp.com/fr-fr/document/ish_5492651-5580788-16).
But now, I see other sources that have no mention of usb 4 and only usb 3.2 (https://h20195.www2.hp.com/v2/GetDocument.aspx?docname=c07959341).
So does this model support usb-4 or not ?

No, it ONLY has 1 SuperSpeed USB Type-C® 10Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4) port on the right side of the machine.
Your first link has an error 404, probably it was wrong therefore people removed it.
Regards.

Moa5505, you're correct. Obviously HP leaked documentation that had incorrect information. I found this datasheet on AMD's site and it says "1 USB4™ Type-C® 40Gbps signaling rate (USB Power Delivery, DisplayPort™ 1.4)". However, AMD's Barcelo CPUs don't have native support for USB 4.0 as seen on their specs pages.... This is confirmed if you take a look at specific 645 g9 models and their details, like 645 G9 (5Y3J0EA) and 645 G9 (5Y4K1EA).
As Banhien EXPERT Level 20 pointed out, this was a mistake that HP has now corrected (I see other documents unavailable as well). No USB 4.0 on these systems. It seems that even some review sites were confused by the original datasheets: HP EliteBook 645 G9 review -USB 4.0 (notebookcheck).

Thank you both for your answers !
You came to the same conclusion as I had. I'm quite disapointed, the presence of USB 4 was a huge factor when buying this computer ...
If I know this beforehand I would probably have made a different purchase ...

I understand how you feel moa5505, and I figured as much. That the USB4 port was an important factor for your purchase. It's unfortunate that you didn't come here prior to buying it. To be honest, I was surprised by the fact that this actually got past HP, not to mention the Austrians down at notebookcheck. This is a new laptop, true, but with a processor that's known to NOT support USB4. On the bright side, these are actually very good machines. I own two with 11th gen intels (640G8&650G8), and work with a 12th gen 650G9. Of the two G8s, only the 640 has a thunderbolt/USB4 port, due to its having an Intel vPro CPU. It hasn't exactly changed my life if you know what I mean. I've never used it to be honest. But it's possible that it might make the system more futureproof....
If you feel strongly about wishing you had bought another system, and depending on how long you've had it, read this post to see your available options. Unfortunately, this is how things are nowadays with computers. You can't just look at the specs and decide. You also have to read reviews, both on review sites and forums (reddit,etc)......
