HP Elitebook 840 BIOS update in Windows Update

I noticed that the Feb 2025 - Bios/HP Firmware Updates for Elitebook 840 G9, G10, G11 are not available from Windows Update/Catalog Update Microsoft site.  Only options available are from Oct and Nov of 2024. 

Previously HP Firmware were available on the same week as HP Support Assistant. 

Has the rollout on Windows Update been delayed? Has HP stopped uploading BIOS to Windows Updates?

Any information would be helpful.

The absence on Windows Update doesn't indicate discontinued support but rather reflects HP's current distribution workflow for these specific models. For critical updates like the February 2025 Intel security patches, HP typically prioritizes direct downloads first.

I recommend downloading and updating bios carefully from hp support page for your laptop if available.

Thanks for your feedback.  Since these laptops are company-managed through Intune, the most efficient process for updating their BIOS has been through Windows Update. 

Will likely have to wait for the newest firmware to be available on Windows Update.
