Microsoft Windows 11

Hello everyone,

I have got a problem where I have a HP Elitebook 845 G11 and can't set charge limit to 80% (Because most of the time laptop is plugged in and I want to save battery life.)
In BIOS is set the "Maximize My Battery Health" which basically says that this is the way to limit battery charge level to 80%.

Windows says charging level is 100%

Support assistant:

Kapocsfeszültség: 12473 mV

Névleges feszültség: 11580 mV

Hálózati tápellátás: Igen

Névleges kapacitás: 56 WHr

Teljes töltöttség melletti kapacitás: 57 WHr (100%)

Fennmaradó kapacitás: 45 WHr

Is it okey?

Thank you in advance!

Hello.

What to expect from changing the default setting to Maximize My Battery Health

Changing the default setting to Maximize My Battery Health causes the following:

  • This setting results in a reduced run time between charges, because it limits the charging capacity of the notebook’s battery to 80% of the currently available full charge capacity.

  • You will continue to see the battery charge at 100% in the Windows icon tray, with 100% representing the new, adjusted full charge capacity.
