HP Elitebook Folio 9470m
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Here's the situation, my mom bought an Elitebook Folio 9470m off Amazon. It was refubrished and has a Windows 10 product key sticker that states its for Windows 10 Pro for Refurb. It came with an Intel 180gb 2.5" SSD with Windows 10 Pro installed and working great. She bought a 500GB SSD to upgrade the capacity. She wanted me to swap them. I went to looking into creating the HP Recovery media to reinstall Windows 10 and all the drivers and such with. There was no such program installed so I went to check if there was even the HP_RECOVERY partition, it didnt exist. Seems whoever refurbished this machine just did a clean install of regular Windows 10 and installed drivers manually. I am wondering if its possible to get a Genuine HP Recovery media for this machine with all of its specific drivers.  I have since just installed Windows 10 using the product key on the bottom of the machine and installed the drivers available for download here on the website but what is here for download isnt the complete driver package in that theres still 3 yellow exclamation point devices that are unknown.

tl;dr  need genuine HP recovery media for Elitebook Folio 9470m for Windows 10 Pro

Hi:

The notebook did not originally come with W10 from HP.

The options were:

Windows 8 Pro 64
Windows 8 64
Windows 7 Professional 32 (available through downgrade rights from Windows 8 Pro 64)
Windows 7 Professional 64 (available through downgrade rights from Windows 8 Pro 64)
Windows 7 Professional 32
Windows 7 Professional 64

HP will not have recovery media for any of those operating systems any longer.

If you want to install W10, your only option would be to clean install it.

If you post the hardware ID's for the devices that need drivers, I will post the links to the drivers you need.

I would even be happy with a Windows 7 or 8 or 8.1 recovery media. I just want the actual HP _RECOVERY partition to be restored.  This is for my mother and I would like it there if she has issues.

I dont have access to the machine right now to get those IDs but would it be possible to just get a complete list of driver downloads maybe since the Drivers page here seems to miss some?  Then I can have them ready for when I do have access again.

You need to install some Windows 8.1 drivers for some of the devices that need drivers.

That's why I need the ID's.

There is no W10 audio driver at all.

As I wrote the other day...HP no longer sells recovery media for the PC, and I have no idea if HP recovery media would restore the recovery partition.  I highly doubt it will.

I have owned HP business notebooks for 20 years now and none of the official HP recovery media I ever used restored a recovery partition.

The only place I know of where you might be able to get HP recovery media for that model notebook would be from this vendor at the link below.  You need to enter the product number of the notebook to get the right Elitebook Folio 9470m recovery kit for the notebook's product number.
