Hello,
I am a happy user of an Elitebook 835, but I really miss a play/pause hotkey on my keyboard. I am using a touchpad gesture as a alternative, but it is not the same.
I tried using HP Programmable Key, but there is no option to add a Play/Pause function. (And it is super slow for all other kinds of actions I tried).
My nest idea was to add virtual key codes to the HP Programmable Key. I tried entering them with another keyboard or copy and pasting them into HP Programmable Key. Does not work. Is there a way to add a virtual keys? (Microsoft infos on virtual keys: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/win32/inputdev/virtual-key-codes)
After that I gave up on HP Programmable Key and tried to use MS Power Toys, but there is not way to overwrite or reassign the Programmable Key. Makes sense because it is an factory setting. Is there any HP supported way to reassign these the Programmable Keys or any other Hotkeys? Is there anything I can do in Windows to change the functionality?
Kind regards
Yannick
