EliteBook x360 830 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi all,

I have a few elitebook 830 G7 with i7-10510U processors, its supposed to be 4C/8T

So in device manager its showing 8 devices, if I open task manager it shows me 4 cores, 4 logical processors, this should be 8?  I have this on a few of these laptops.  Checked BIOS settings, intel turbo and Hyperthreading are both enabled so I don't really understand why this is happening.  Bios is updated to the latest version and im using windows 10 21h2

Laptop is running quite high on CPU and I'm just wondering if it's actually only using 50% of the processor.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Thanks, its shows this, just not sure why in windows it's only giving me 4 logical processors rather than 8.  Hyperthreading is enabled in the BIOS so should be working as 8

I think it is working as designed.

Very strange issue, I reinstalled windows using the iso from Microsoft deleted all the drive partitions and started over, now I can see 8 logical processors rather than 4 and the laptop is performing properly.  So confused why this happened.
