HP Elitebook x360 1030 G7
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I am having trouble in getting an HP Elitebook x360 1030 G7 model notebook to recognize an HP Elite 90w Thunderbolt 3 Dock Station.

I have installed the Thunderbolt dock station firmware driver but when connecting the dock station to the notebook it is not recognized by the notebook and the led on the dock's power button continues to blink.

I managed to connect it succesfully with an HP Elitebook x360 1030 G2 model notebook. I noticed inside the dock station's manual there is a compatibility list of supported notebooks and indeed the G7 is not on the list, but the G2 is. I'm thinking that the G7 model doesn't appear on the list because the dock station appeared long before the G7 notebook model and on the other hand I did not find any clear information about the G7 not supporting this dock station at all.

So, if anyone knows for sure if the 2 devices are not compatible and don't work toghether, I would gladly appreciate an answer.

And if the G7 should recognize the dock station, is there anyone who maybe encountered this issue before and maybe has a solution?

Thank you very much in advance!
