Good morning everyone, Today I wanted to restore my HP Elitepad 1000 G2 because it's starting to slow down. I lost the recovery partition and so I wanted to make a USB stick with the original system with HP ThinUpdate 2, unfortunately I don't know how to use it and I don't know which thin model I have. Can someone explain to me how to use it?.

Hello @fhbfkjjfdscc
To create a recovery image for your HP ElitePad 1000 G2 using HP ThinUpdate, follow the steps below:
- Install HP ThinUpdate: https://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp149001-149500/sp149160.exe
-
Ensure that HP ThinUpdate software is installed on your HP ElitePad 1000 G2. If it is not pre-installed, you can download it from the HP Support website by searching for your thin client model and accessing the Drivers & Software section.
-
Prepare a USB Flash Drive:
-
Obtain a USB flash drive with a capacity of at least 32 GB for Windows 10 IoT (if using the USB format).
-
Launch HP ThinUpdate:
-
Open the HP ThinUpdate application on your device.
-
Download the Image:
-
Use the "Image Downloads" feature in ThinUpdate to download the appropriate recovery image for your HP ElitePad 1000 G2. You have the option to save it either on local storage or directly onto the USB flash drive. The latter option creates a bootable USB flash drive that can be used to deploy the image across similar devices.
-
Create Bootable USB Drive:
-
If not done already during the download process, use the USB Drive Management feature in ThinUpdate to create a bootable USB flash drive from the .ibr image file.
-
Capture an Existing Image (Optional):
-
If you intend to capture the current state of your system as a recovery image, utilize the "Image Capture" feature on HP ThinUpdate to save the image to your USB flash drive.
-
Deploy the Image:
- Use the bootable USB flash drive generated from ThinUpdate to deploy the recovery image onto the HP ElitePad 1000 G2 if required.
For additional guidance, here is the administrator guide for HP Thinupdate- Administrator Guide
Hope this helps!
