HP Envy 13 ah0043tx
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After using my envy 13 laptop for approx 1.5 year my left hing giving me issue while closing and opening of display lit. Earlier it seems like any screw of the hinge is getting loose so I called up hp care to fix and they sent me the quotation of ₹29000.

As per them for hinge issue they will replace the entire display unit. While these things are going on suddenly i observed a gap is appeared now between hinge and lower body pannel.

During these 1.5 year laptop is never been fall from my hand nor being mishandled still I am facing these kind of issue.

While I googled the issue then i came to know that these is the design failure of the hinge and many other user also facing the same.

So can one guide me how to resolve these issue.

Hi@AmtAryan,

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Apologies for all the inconvenience

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I appreciate your efforts to try and resolve the issue. This sounds like hardware related issue with the hinge assembly and in order to fix this issue,  your computer needs to be serviced.  As we have limited support boundaries in the support community as of now.

I would request you to reach out to our Support and our Support Engineers should be able to check the available service options in order to diagnose the computer physically.  HP Support can be reached by clicking on the following link:  www.hp.com/contacthp/
