Product: HP ENVY x360 Convertible Laptop PC 15-ed1000 (169W3AV)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 11

Just after one year of normal usage of a new HP ENVY 360, the left hinge made a pop sound when opening the cover.  There was no unusual effort to open the cover, but when the hinge failed, it shifted and caused the screen to crack in that corner.  Really?  After just one year?  After seeing others on this board complain, and the recommendation from HP is to buy a replacement hinge or send in for a $400+ repair for the hinge.  What about this defect causing the screen to crack.  SERIOUSLY, don’t buy this laptop.  If HP does not stand behind their laptop with an obvious defect affecting many people, they are not worth doing business with.
