In September 2022, the combination of a G5 Docking Station, Elitebook 850 G8, and a Sceptre monitor worked without issue. It is unclear what update caused this - but since then the display is no longer usable. Mid-October, the display was still recognized but was not functioning. I have since attempted firmware and BIOS updates, and now the display is no longer recognized at all.
This affects HDMI and DisplayPort monitors, multiple brands. I have also encountered this testing multiple docking stations and laptops (all same model).
