HP Recommended

My G5 docking station is not receiving power. When plugged in the light on the bottom of the dock does not turn on, nor does it charge my laptop when plugged in. I have tested that the charging cable itself works. When the charging cable is plugged directly into my laptop my laptop charges. I have had no issues with this docking station in the past. I have tried unplugging and replugging the charging cable, but nothing changed. Is there anyway to fix this or is this docking station a dud?
