Hello, I would like to ask when and if there are plans to support models like EliteBook 850 G6 or Z2 Tower G5 on 24H2, because currently only 23H2 is supported, which means, that installing 24H2 on those machines and running HPIA, it results in no drivers being installed. I expected, that all models which support 23H2 would support 24H2 also and not just those, that started shipping with 24H2. Thank you.

Hello.

My HPIA shows drivers for Elitebook 850 G6 + 24H2 combination. Make sure you're using latest HPIA v5.3.1

Have you tried creating a driver pack for the Z2 Tower G5 with 23H2 and running the downloaded bundle on the 24H2 installation?

In any case, this is not an official HP support forum and HP does not communicate their plans here. (or anywhere, really)

I would expect HP to probably support 24H2 with the Z2 Tower G5 some time in the future. "Stay tuned" and check the product support download page or HPIA from time to time - there's not really anything else one can do...

Hi Jupitero, not sure from where you have the v5.3.1, but we are running v5.3.0, which according to HP should be the latest official version:

Also, I do not see 24H2 available in HPIA and according to the recently updated HPIA documentation, 24H2 is still not supported:

I have not tried creating driverpacks yet and I was hoping I would not have to, because I want always the latest drivers to be installed during OSD, which worked fine, since all the models were supported on 23H2, but no longer on 24H2. I hope HP adds support to these models, since HPIA is an Enterprise solution and I imagine it is being heavily used in enterprises to automated driver installation.

Anyhow, thank you for your advice, I may try going the driverpacks route if HP lets us down.

Regards,

Rene

Hi,

It shows 5.3.1 on the HPIA download page for me:

Perhaps you have a proxy caching issue causing the old result? Try adding question mark ('?') at the end of the URL to get a refreshed page. If your HPIA uses a proxy, perhaps there's an issue of it not getting the latest softpaq list?

Direct download link for the 5.3.1 package:

https://hpia.hpcloud.hp.com/downloads/hpia/hp-hpia-5.3.1.exe

HPIA version history (on the same page) states that 24H2 support came with 5.3.0 you are already using, so you shouldn't need to upgrade to 5.3.1 for 24H2 support.

The HPIA Support Platforms page shows that 850 G6 does not have support for 24H2, but my HPIA installation does show results for that combination:
