Microsoft Windows Server 2019

Hello !

We've installed the HP Manageability Integration Kit on my MECM Server (SCCM). The Installation process seems to work fine without any errors during the install or in the Windows Event Log.

We see the files in the AdminConsole Folder

but in the Config Manager Console the expected Folder under the Asset Tab is not available.

We checked and meet every prerequisites

MECM Version is: 2203

OS Version is: Server 2019

MIK Version: 5.0.0.42729

.Net 4.8 already installed.

Are we missing something ?? Is there some option in MECM we need to enable ??

Thank and advance for any reply.

Best regards.

I solved this by going to :  administration/site configuration/sites/hierrarchy settings /general tab

  • uncheck "only allow console extensions that are approved for the hierarchy"
  • check "Hierarchy approved extensions can be unsigned"

We uninstalled Hp MIK from the windows control panel, reboot, reinstall HP MIK, reboot, start the console ... and there it is.

The explanation from someone who works at HP : HP MIK doesn't yet support some SCCM updates and console extensions 2103.
