Product: HP ProBook 440 G6 (5TK03EA)

I have two identical notebooks (HP ProBook 440 G6/5TK03EA) with the same BIOS/Firmware version (01.28.00). On one notebook, I can toggle the backlit keyboard on and off using the F9 key, but on the other notebook, this does not work. Additionally, in the BIOS settings, I can adjust the backlit keyboard timeout on one notebook, but this option is missing on the other notebook. Both notebooks have the latest Windows updates installed, and I have run all updates available through the HP Support Assistant. What could be the cause, and how can I repair the notebook that lacks this functionality?
