HP ProBook 450 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

My HP ProBook 450 G5 laptop is not charging above 79%, and in continuous use not even from 75 to 77%.

I already updated the Bios, verified the battery with the "HP Battery Recall Utility" and says it does not need a replacement or that it is under a replacement campaign itself.

Please, how can I solve this problem? The team for everything else works perfectly well except for this big problem of power backup productivity.

Thanks!

HP Support Assistant has a battery check tool that can query the laptop's battery and inform on its capacity and capabilities... you should try that first... also, on newer BIOS there are battery charging management settings that may affect how charging works with your device

The ProBook G5 laptops got a BIOS update that added the ability to limit charging to 80%. This improves battery longevity particularly for computers that are primarily used as desktop replacements (the battery cells undergo more stress when charged to and left at 100%). I bet that's what causing your issue. Go into BIOS settings to turn that off, if you want the battery to charge completely.
