Hello.

 

Can you describe how often this problem occurs? If this happens all the time, or just some specific keys are not working, I would either try booting the laptop to another operating system (e.g. live Linux via USB) and using the keyboard extensively there, to rule out possible software problems in your Windows 11 installation.

 

If you can duplicate the keyboard problems outside of Windows, this is a hardware problem.

 

Typically an intermittent keyboard problem is either due to a defective keyboard, or the keyboard cable inside the laptop not firmly attached to its socket.

 

In that case I recommend taking your laptop to a local HP service partner and have them reseat the keyboard cable at first and if that doesn't help, a new keyboard will need to be ordered and replaced.
