650 G4
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello

I am growing quite sick of HP and their Probooks and this time it is the 650 G4 model.

It has been deployed and works like it should until the BIOS is upgraded.

Bum, blue screen and a STOP message, inaccessible boot device.

This is so annoying and I have to redeploy the machine and it works again until next update 😞

Every other PC and notebook uses Windows 10 Pro (1809) - Bitlocked and they work fine.

But the 650 G4 model is crap.

Do anyone have a solution other than to redeploy?

Hello

How do you execute BIOS update ?

Is the BIOS set with SucureBoot set to enable (EFI mode) ?

are you using Windows 10 OEM by HP or custom image ?

if I were you , before to redeploy WIndows I would try to understand why I get Inaccessible boot device.

Example I would use WinPE to check if the disk is still formatted, if the partitions (EFI and Windows) are there . I'll check if the partions containg the excpected files and check BCD file in EFI partition.

IF everything is still there I would try  to boot in safe mode.

bye
