I'm part of a small Helpdesk team supporting nearly 3000 Users; one of our concerns in this environment is audio, hardware, and drive manager issues where drivers run into problems starting, outdated drivers, and BIOS updates.
We currently use HP Support assistant after freshly imaging to update drivers and then uninstall due to the software not being validated through our Software team. As of last month, we have been having issues installing Version 9 of HP Support Assitant, so we are directed to install the Legacy version, which we have no problem installing and launching. Currently, we are on W10 21H2
Issue 1: Launching app after installation -
Issue 2: I want to introduce this application to management and Cyber security, but I can't find any information specifically on which communication ports HP Support Assistant uses. We have MIK installed on the server, but for now, it's not at a stage of wide deployment. The thought process behind this deployment is to introduce this as a self-service application to users. There will be two ways of deployment through the Software center and Task sequence.

Welcome to the HP Community Forum.
HP Support Assistant is mainly a consumer based application.
The "legacy" HPSA software runs a different GUI but performs essentially the same tasks as the application type of HPSA.
Which HPSA runs on which system is based on the machine hardware and the Windows Operating System / version.
Neither one of these -- app or software -- tolerate unattended installation.
What?
Manual deployment of the HP Support Assistant to ten systems might be doable -- trying to get HPSA onto 3000 clients would be a nightmare (in my opinion).
At least for your business class computers,
Consider using a tool meant to support the business class platform.

At this writing: If your computer was manufactured before the EOL date for the Software Download Manager, you can choose to use (or continue using) SDM.
