According to the link Provost  provided, it is supported.  No idea why he said it doesn't.

There is a convenient reference table in this PDF (click), which confirms your finding @Conine. The only shortcoming of that document is that some recently released products are omitted.

The compatible products section did not list OP's model 4 months back when I posted the reply.

May be HP tested and re published the list afterwards. Anyway thank you for the update and help.

The elite x2 10120 g1 comes with a 45w power supply and supports Thunderbolt docking, which includes usb-c power delivery. the elite usb-c g4 dock has a 90w power supply and windows 10 has native drivers for all its components. so, yes, the g4 dock will work with the x2 10120 g1 and supply all the power it needs
