ZBook Studio G3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello all,

Recently we changed the HP Thunderbolt Dock 230w g2 that have broken with HP USB-C Dock G5.

After pluging the HP USB-C Dock G5 to the laptop, everything works except the charging of the laptop itself.

Is there a way to make the laptop charge via the USB-C  port.

Kind regards,

Costin

Hello   y

ou can't charge a Zbook Studio G3 with USB-C Dock G5, power provided by USB- DOck G5 is enought for a standard notebook, not for a Zbook mobile workstation.

if you notice the TB dock has a 230W Power supply , the USB-C Dock G5 a 120W only.

bye
