Hi All,
I was battling the issue of my HP 840G8 connected to HP 5TW10AA USB-C dock with repeating keystrokes and freezing mouse too.
Have created / posted the following which fixed it for me:
https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Business-Notebooks/Fix-for-repeating-letters-and-stuck-mouse-whilst-co...
HP Power Management features in the BIOS are an absolute waste of time and kill USB Keyboard / USB Mice connected to the dock. Once I disabled all HP Power Management in the BIOS and let it run naturally my peripherals have not skipped a heart beat.
Hope this helps everyone else. 🙏

I don't know if it will help anyone else but all of the users we were having this issue with were keeping wireless mouse adapters in their laptops and moving from dock to dock. I had them remove them and they haven't had this issue in weeks.

Hi Nick,
I have updated the following post which outlines my fix with a screen shot to help others:
HP Power Management in the BIOS is very nasty and must be turned off. You will notice your system working 100 times better with HP Power Management turned off.

Hi GRLOGIC,
Thank you very much for your input. Unfortunately, it didn't fix my issue. No more than 10 minutes after I made the power settings change the freeze happened again.
One of my users told me that the freeze happens, most of the time when an MS Teams notification pops up. That put me thinking that maybe it could be related to the screen. I connect the dock to the screen via HDMI cable instead of DP cable like before. Now let's wait...

Thanks Pbugaho,
Sounds like your issue is app specific. If you find MS Teams playing up heaps with HP notebooks you can also try and disable GPU Hardware acceleration in MS Teams.
1. Open Microsoft Teams.
2. Click on your Profile Picture at the top right of your window.
3. Click Settings on the drop down menu.
4. In the General section check "Disable GPU hardware acceleration" and restart Teams.
Very easy setting to reverse if you find it doesn’t help.
My fix regarding the repeating characters and stuck mouse is a system wide issue we where finding and not just specific to one app.
if you find when your typing in any app and start to see repeating keys like: thissssssssssssss
than make sure you do the HP Power Management changes I have recommended in my other post. No more issues with any of our notebooks repeating keys and freezing mice after implementing the power management changes in the BIOS.
Hope you find the core issue with your Teams problem.
