Hello All!

I just bought an HP USB-C G5 essential dock to use with my HP Zbook 15u G6 to connect two 4K monitors.

But whether the two monitors are connected via DP, whether one via DP and the other via HDMI, one of them is locked at 1920x1080 and I have no chance of selecting a resolution above.

I have all the drivers updated, whether for the Portable or for the Dock and I can't get the two monitors to 4K.

Can anyone help me? Thanks.

@mdio33

HP removed the compatible list on the following document:

From my older edition, the dock is compatible up to Zbook 15u G5. I can't say more, please wait for new updates.

Regards.

Hello,

Just tested with a brand new HP Thunderbolt 120W G4 Dock and the result is the same.

One monitor stays at 1920x1080 and the other can go to 3840 x 2160.

What makes me conclude  that is a limitation of the Zbook and that is even more strange.

So, i bought a top tear Workstation, with internal and dedicated graphics card and I can't use it, even with HP peripherals.

That makes a lot o sense... 🙄
