HP ZBook 15 G5
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi ,

I just bought a HP ZBook 15 G5 and as soon as I turn it on or even open a little programm the fan starts right up and is super loud.

I did check the task manager to see if any programm or service uses too much proccess but it doesnt even need more than 10%.

I did read up on the question already and it seems other people had the same problem and updating the bios or grafikcard wont do it.

Does any one have a solution to that ?

First, i would make sure ALL drivers and BIOS are up to date. Use HP Image Assistant as the right tool for this purpose. Then, i would reset BIOS settings to factory defaults to make sure standard settings are set. Finally, as a last resort, i would do a Windows reset to make sure Windows is back to a good known starting point. And make sure to understand what else is running on the system, like with Task Manager... what AV software or other background apps are causing the system to heat up and require fans to turn on

I work for HP. However, all opinions and comments are my own.
