Hello,
I have a strange issue with the SSD expansion tray which was included with my ZBook Fury 15 G8, when its installed the lid does not close properly, it seams that the metal clips which push the SSD against the heat spreader are a tad to long/high, the lid does not close properly, after carefully inspection i noticed the said clips also scratched the inside of the lid.
The issue not with the pair of Corsair MP400 I have as the problem exists also when no SSD's are inserted only the empty bracket installed.
FYI the SSD bracket is not a 3rd party part or alike, it was included in the box with the laptop, so it must be the right one and no knock of.
Is this a known issue?
Also on a side note, the heat management concept with that accessory is quite bad, neither the bottom "heat spreader" which is only a very thin peace of copper nor the problematic top clip are capable of removing the heat anywhere, the copper should be solid and going down up to the inside part of the case, it would probably be uncomfortable to use as that's where the wrist lays normally, but at least the cooling would be better.
I am currently using the bracket without the clips having the SSD only screwed down, the thermals are as expected rather sub optimal though.
Cheers
