Microsoft Windows 11

In my HP ZBook Studio G8 power light (the one on power button) is always on. It stays on even after shutdown - solid white light. I tried all of the solutions that I could find in similar questions - turning off Fast Startup, disabling sleep states, disabling hibernation. I also tried to perform shutdown from command line - nothing helps.

There is also one thing that is different in my case. Everyone who has similar problem can turn off the laptop completely by holding power button for a few seconds and then power light turns off. In my case I have to hold power button for more than 10 seconds and then it turns off, but it stays off only as long as I hold this button pressed. It turns on immediately when I release this button (seems like it's more like a power cut off than normal shutdown).

So, is it expected that this light stays permanently on?

Today I tried to update all of the drivers (Chipset, IMEI, Intel HD Graphics), HP Support Assistant says everything is up to date. Nothing changed. It's probably not the OS issue if the light is on even after force shutdown by holding the power button, but I wanted to try everything.

I had the latest BIOS available, but also tried to downgrade it (from 1.11 to 1.10) - didn't change anything.

It had Modern Standby mode enabled by default and after choosing Sleep in Windows it was just turning off the screen, nothing more. I disabled it and enabled Standby S3 instead - now sleep works fine, but power light still stays on even when laptop is in sleep state no matter if it's on a battery or AC adapter is connected!

User Guide says it should should be blinking or off when in sleep and should be off when the computer is off.
