I have an HP Zbook g3 with a SATA 500GB drive. (only a a GB or two free space)
I would like to add an M.2 SSD 500GB PCIe ( MZ-VKW5120 P/N 861960-003 ) to boot from and a 1TB SATA Western Digital WD Blue) for additional storage.
If I install the M.2 drive and the 1TB SATA drive, the USB drive with Windows 10 64 bit does not see any drive to load to.
If I install just the 1TB SATA drive I can install Windows 10 to it.
If I install just the M.2 drive I can install Windows 10 to it.
If I install the M.2 drive with windows already installed and then add the 1TB drive (drive Quick Formatted to erase O/S), Windows before the boot says that there is a problem and would you like Windows to Fix ( there are a number of options, none work)
I want to boot from the M.2 drive for the speed.
Is there a setting I am missing?
or
With the components that I have, this is just not possible.
Any help would be appreciated.
