Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If you are encountering an error with HP Sure Recover stating, "There was an error finding any valid manifest," here are some steps you can take to try and resolve the issue:

  1. Verify Network Connection:

    • HP Sure Recover requires a stable and reliable network connection. Make sure your laptop is connected to a working network. If possible, connect via a wired Ethernet connection for better stability.
  2. Check BIOS Settings:

    • Enter the BIOS setup by restarting your laptop and pressing F10 repeatedly during boot.
    • Ensure that HP Sure Recover is enabled. Navigate to the appropriate security settings to verify that this feature is correctly configured.
  3. Network Boot Priority:

    • Check that the network (PXE) boot option is enabled and set with proper priority in the boot order settings within BIOS.
  4. Use HP Recovery Media:

    • If HP Sure Recover fails, consider using HP Recovery Media. You can create a recovery media from the HP Cloud Recovery Tool.
  5. BIOS Update Verification:

    • Since you've updated the BIOS, ensure that the update process was successful and that the BIOS version is correctly reflecting the latest version. Re-download the update and try flashing again if necessary.

Do keep us posted on whether these steps resolve the issue. We’ll be happy to assist you with the next steps.
