I accidently installed sure run in 2020 and have not been able to perform a full system backup since. backup software doesn't get control after initial startup and crashes the system when trying to exit the backup software. restart takes hp sure start 3 tries to make repairs. back up works fine on my HP laptop which never had sure run installed. I uninstalled hp sure run but back software still won't run. must be vestiges of sure run still in the system is there a clean up tool that will remove any vestiges of sure run that may be in the bios or elseware.

HP Sure Run might have left some residual components on your system, which could be interfering with your backup software. Since uninstalling Sure Run didn’t fully resolve the issue, you might need a more thorough cleanup. Try using the HP Support Assistant or the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics tool to see if they can detect and remove any lingering components. Additionally, you could check the BIOS settings to ensure no Sure Run remnants are active there. If those options don't work, reaching out to HP Support directly might be your best bet they can offer guidance or tools specifically designed to handle leftover Sure Run files and settings.
