HP Recommended

Hi everyone,

I’m running into an issue with HP Image Assistant (HPIA) when using an offline repository in a large enterprise environment.

We have created an offline repository for all our target devices and the most recent supported Windows 11 builds.

This setup works perfectly for devices that are on OS builds matching the ones available in the repository.

However, when a client device runs a newer Windows 11 build than what is available in the repository (for example an EliteBook 850 G5 running a later revision of 24H2), HPIA fails immediately with exit code 16384, even when using the switch /IgnoreGenericOsError.

When switching to online mode, HPIA works fine with /IgnoreGenericOsError but in offline mode it always fails.

Is there any way to make the offline repository work with newer Windows builds or to include a generic reference file so that HPIA can proceed the same way as it does in online mode instead of failing with exit code 16384?

Thank you
