Hello.

 

Has the fingerprint reader worked before and suddenly no more?

 

I recommend first testing the fingerprint reader in HP UEFI Diagnostics.

If the test fails, either the fingerprint reader, or its cable, is faulty, or the cable connection loose. Another possibility is that the fingerprint reader has been disable in BIOS settings.

 

If the test is successful, then I recommend downloading the latest BIOS version from your laptop download page at support.HP.com and also updating the fingerprint drivers if you are not already using the latest software.
