- How do you update an HP Thunderbolt Dock?

I have an HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 with Combo Cable, which I'm now using with a non-HP computer. My question is, how do you know if the drivers and/or firmware on the dock needs updating? Sure, I can see that there are three drivers listed for download, but how can I tell what's currently in the dock?
When I first got the dock, HP had a specific firmware scanner utility for the dock, that updated a bunch of drivers in the dock. I can't find that utility anymore. And I find it suspicious that the HP Support site only lists three drivers now. What happened to the Ethernet driver, for example? I know there used to be a lot more.
Even when I had the HP ZBook, the HP Support Assistant no longer "saw" the dock so it didn't want to update it.
What I'm looking for is a utility that will scan the dock's firmware and drivers and indicate what's in need of updating.

Hi @mschmitt
the only application I know of is HPIA but this is used for HP computers, try installing it and see if it still recognizes your dock.

The HP Image Assistant doesn't work because it analyzes a target image, which can only be an HP computer. You can not analyze a dock.
But it is a moot point, because the answer is to just download the latest HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 Firmware and run it. It analyzes the dock and updates whatever components are necessary. It is running the same "one click" HP Firmware Installer that I remembered from before.

Unfortunately, you can only upgrade by checking the support page of the model.
