Hello I just got a HP ZBook Fury 15 G8 524Z3EA and wanted to disable toe TPM howeever the option is grayed out,

i have disabled a few things that look like thay may be releated but this did not solve the issue.

please tell me how to proceed to disable the TPM

It had nothing to do with the password.

 

the solution was to disable intel TXT and secure boot

secure boot was obvious but intel TXT not so

Probably, you need to create a BIOS administrator password to make the TPM settings accesible. Go to F10 BIOS->Security->Create BIOS Administrator Password. I believe a password has to be at least 8-digit. Upon creation of a password, you should be able to disable TPM. When you are done with TPM, go to Change Password in Security and clear the password. Then save the changes and exit BIOS.

 

***Warning***

Bitlocker uses TPM so if your laptop is on Bitlocker, you may need to disable Bitlocker before disabling TPM.
