Hello, I want to get a SMC.bin file for reset factory bios configuration. A bios password is set but i don't have it. I have ask to the support but they just propose me to send me a new motherboard. Is-it possible to have this SMC.bin file ?

Hello @Prezod

Welcome to the HP Support community.

I am afraid this is not possible anymore for security and privacy reasons.

Here is an article and policy:

Probook 4520s is a very old product and I bet HP cannot provide you with a motherboard for it. You will need to obtain a different computer if accessing BIOS is very important for you.

Thank you for your reply. I find it unfortunate that this is no longer possible. Indeed, it's an old product (and I think that explains the loss of the bios password) but to no longer have a way to restore the factory values other than by buying a motherboard that is regrettable.

Thank you anyway,
Have a good day.
