Greetings ,
I need help on how to reset the BIOS password on the Elitebook 8570p.
I bought the laptop from a fellow local vendor without a hard drive and RAM, after installing ram and a SSD drive. I went to install a fresh copy of windows. But the BIOS is locked with a password, upon asking the vendor said it came in as it. And no stickers for the password.
How I can I reset the password ? I've heard about the smc. Bin file , but I'm afraid to get it from third party websites it be hazardous to the BIOS chip . Any sort of help would be appreciated, I use this pc for my college studies.

@Marrijali
Hello,
Unfortunately, the HP support community does not allow us to help you with your BIOS password. The only solution is to contact HP and, if necessary, contact them several times to complete your case.
Rules of Participation No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.
I recommend that you get on Contact HP from your country or region.
The only solution HP will propose is to replace the system board to solve the BIOS password problem requested at computer startup.
For more information, please go to Forgotten or Lost BIOS Password.
Please do not hesitate to contact us in case of need.
Best regards,🤠
