Hi:

Run the Hide Windows Update utility that I zipped up and attached below.

The utility will run and should find the pending BIOS update.

Check the box to hide the update.

The utility will run again, and report that the problem is 'Fixed.'

Restart the PC and the update should no longer appear in the Windows Update program.

Hi @Korrawit

(1) If you use the Pro/Enterprise version of Windows, you can configure Windows Update not to download drivers (and BIOS/FW). This can be done via Group Policy >> only step 2 as mentioned here >> https://www.makeuseof.com/windows-stop-automatic-driver-updates/

This way Windows will only install Windows OS updates, Windows component patches (and might also update other Microsoft products) but not drivers and firmware.

(2) Another option is to block the BIOS/FW update delivered from Windows via the BIOS settings

You need to go to the BIOS (F10) -> Main tab -> uncheck "Native OS Firmware Update Service"

Hope that helps.
