Product: HP EliteBook 8470p Base Model Notebook PC
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

8 years ago I bought Hp Elitebook 8470p from an online store. it was very expensive. Unfortunately, it broke and after those years I finally repaired it. 

For about 4months have been trying to get into my bios but it has a password. have tried all means I can but failed till I met this file called SMC.bin file needed to unlock my laptop.

I need help. Anyone who can help me? please help me. it is the only laptop I have.

Please don't tell me to contact Hp support near me because there is none. Am in AFRICA remote areas 

Have been trying to contact Hp DIRECTLY and failed even today. 

That's why have come to the community so that any random person interested may help me.

Unfortunately, no one here can help you for two reasons:

 

1. The forum rules of participation forbid us from doing so (rule 4. d.).

 

No posts shall include instructions or directions intended to bypass or subvert security measures, including passwords, locking mechanisms, fingerprint scans, etc., or to bypass any safety measures.

2. Even if there was no such rule, no one here can help you because HP will no longer send the required SMC.bin file needed to unlock the password.
