Hello. I have an HP probook 6560b and few days ago turn his self off just like that. Now when i plug in the ac adapter in, it turns on and off immediately, on/off light turn white, lightning bolt light turn yellow, hdd light turns white and then the laptop turn off in two seconds. In the beginning the picture on the lcd showed for a second with hp logo, before it turn off, now beacuse i tried to turn it on a few times, the picture dont show any more. If i have the battery in, the lightning bolt light is on yellow all the time, so the battery is charging i think, but when i turn it on, it dies immediately. The globe side button also turn the laptop on and off again. Can this be a CPU problem maybe, or is the power adapter flex( sorry for my english, dont know how to call that) i mean the inner ac power flex that we connect the power cord in and put the electricity to the motherboard. Hope you understand. one more thing, the laptop try to turn his self on when the power cord is plug in or the battery is in in time to time, maybe every 10 minutes, so this can be a motherboard foult, could this be something else? I'll be glad for some answers, beacuse i'm desperate. Thank you, Gorazd.

The laptop turn on when i empty the capacitors with holding the on/off button for half a minute, it was working for half an hour and then he died again. This time i cannot turn it on again in the same way. In this half hour that it was working, u didn't find any thing that it would couse this. Cpu dont overheat, the memory is fine. So would be happy if anyone have some ideas what is a problem with my laptop. Thanks

Hello. I determined the problem, it was the on-off switch , was dirty i think and it was stuck, so a lift it a little, and clean it with an contact spray and alcohol and for now it's fine, the laptop doesn't turn it off any more. I run some tests with a diagnosic software and everything seems so be fine. So glad :). I posted this so if someone has a similar problem. Thx,bye
