ZBOOK FIREFLY 14 G7 MOBILE W.
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an external SSD hard drive with USB connection and when I connect it to the laptop I can't make it boot.

It should be mentioned that the Zbook laptop has an internal M2 disk with Windows operating system and that I just want to boot with another SSD disk, I already looked in BIOS settings but I can't get it to boot.

The system does detect the external hard drive but it does like a small flash and returns to the BOOT options menu.

Does anyone know how they can help me?

How is the external ssd formatted? It would have to match the system which most likely be formatted to gpt and uefi boot? Is your device connected to USB3 as USB2 would barely work? There can be boot drivers issues also, the windows on the external ssd may not have the correct drivers to boot.

It is a 240 GB Kignston SSD disk, it is formatted NTFS - GPT and has the Windows 10 system.

It is plugged into a USB 3.0 port

How could I know what drivers to install to boot the Zbook, the issue may be there maybe updated this drirvers.

If you put the ssd back in the pc you installed windows on it.

Uninstall the ata drivers this video may help, the drivers you are uninstalling are the ata drivers.

Shut down windows and pc then remove the drive and try again in usb.
