Dear HP Support Team,
I would like to confirm whether my device supports Intel® vPro® and Active Management Technology (AMT), and if these features are enabled or can be enabled.
Here are my device details:
- Product Name: HP EliteBook 1040 14 inch G9 Notebook PC
- Serial Number: 5CG24013S1
- SKU Number: 76W62EC#AB8
Could you please let me know if this device has Intel® vPro® / AMT capabilities, and whether they are active or if I need to take any steps to enable them?
Thank you very much for your help.

Does it have vPro sticker on your machine ? It specs
https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_6279322-6279369-16
It has one of the following processors
- Intel Core i7-1265U Processor
- Intel Core i7-1255U Processor
- Intel Core i5-1245U Processor
- Intel Core i5-1235U Processor
- And the list of Intel Gen 12 processors with vPro (Mobile) :
- H-Series: i9-12900HK, i9-12900H, i7-12800H, i7-12700H, i7-12650H, i5-12600H, i5-12500H, i5-12450H

Thank you for your response.
I checked my device and I did not see a vPro sticker on it. However, according to Intel ARK, the Intel Core i7-1265U CPU does support Intel® vPro®.
Could you please clarify if my specific SKU (76W62EC#AB8, Serial Number: 5CG24013S1) is configured with vPro enabled at the firmware/BIOS level?
If not, is it possible to enable vPro on this device through BIOS or firmware settings?
I just want to confirm whether the lack of vPro is due to hardware limitations of my SKU or just a disabled configuration.
Thank you very much for your clarification!

Thank you for the provided information and the links.
I understand that the Intel Core i7-1265U processor supports vPro, but it seems that my specific device may not have vPro enabled at the firmware level.
I will check the BIOS settings directly on the device to confirm.
Thank you for your support.
