I have a problem with my ZBook 8 G1i computer with Wi-Fi Intel BE201 320MHz. In the device manager it says "This device cannot start. Code 10". If I remove the device and reinstall it, it works, but after restarting the situation is the same. Tested with the driver version from HP - 23.140.0.3 and with the new one from Intel's website - 23.170.0.1. OS Win11Pro - 24H2. Bios is on the latest version.

I have a couple of thoughts you might pursue.

1. Try installing a Previous driver from the HP site for your laptop if one is available.

2. If you have not done so, try Resetting the Network via Settings.

3. Run the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics UEFI. Component Tests option.

            - power on pc, start pressing F2 key about once per second until the diagnostic screen opens.

            - navigate with the arrow keys, select with the Enter key.

3.1 There is also a HP PC Hardware Diagnostic that can be downloaded

at   hp.com/go/techcenter/PCdiags          but I'm not familiar with it.

4. You might also want to try doing a Safe Mode boot which eliminates 3rd party software that might be interfering with starting the device after a restart.

          - run msconfig > select the Boot tab > Check Safe Boot and check Network > then ok

          - restart the pc

          - This assumes you have the device working before you do the safe boot. If it is still working after the        restart then the bigger question is identifying what is causing the interference.
