zbook power g8
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I often use my zbook while connected to a docking station, there for being charged.

I need im because im a music producer and have alot of external equipment, but i dont like the fact that my laptop is connect to power all the time

is it possible to turn off the charging function but still be connected to the docking station inside windows? device manager? (not through bios)

that way i can let my battery discharge to 30-40%, and recharge it again like it should

the dockin station has a turn on/off bottom but it turns off the connections as well

i own hp zbook power g8 and hp zbook 150w thunderbolt docking station

Hello Itayassa.

To turn off charging while laptop is plugged in is not really an option since battery (charging) behaviour is controlled by Hp BIOS. You can and should however ENABLE maximize battery health, which in effect cycles battery between 70% and 80%.
