HP ZBook 15 G5 Mobile Workstation IDS Base Model

Hi everyone,
I have a question about the HP Cloud Recovery Client. I want to know if the operating system it installs is always the same, no matter when I use it.
Like, does it always download the same version of Windows and HP software for my device every time, or can it change depending on when I run the tool?

Thanks in advance!

Hi:

You may have a choice of installing W10 or W11 in most circumstances.

You will get whatever image was originally created by HP for either OS.

They don't update them.

For example, if W10 20H2 was the OS in effect when HP made the recovery image, that's the one that will get installed.

For W11, I assume that you would get 21H2 because W11 wasn't even out when the ZBook 15 G5 came out.
