I am looking for a docking station with a power on/off button that would support the EliteBook 840 G8.

 

The HP docks I am finding don't state they support this specific model.

 

Please clarify.  Thanks.

yes ,power button to power or wake host system

HP Thunderbolt Dock G2 or HP USB-C Dock G5
