Hello HP Community,
i was hoping anyone could help me out with the following issue that i am having.
in late November the company i work for bought hp probook 450 g10 with an i5 1335u with 16gb ram and a 512gb ssd (30 in total) these laptops where made ready for use around half January 2024 since Februari 5th the issues started.
Laptops would stop connecting with hp e24d monitors (build in dockingstation) and regular hp dockingstation g5. replaced kabels, monitors and dockingstations nothing helped, installed drivers by hand dint help either.
the issue:
- user is working or in a meeting
- till lunch time everything is good, no issue
- users comes back from lunch, logs in and starts working withing the hour the screens randomly turn off and of again.
- after around 5 minutes the monitors go black. laptop is still on.
- work on the laptop can be done but no connection with usb C cables or the provided charger
- turn laptop off and it wont come back on
- if i want to turn the laptop back on i have to insert the charger, wait 15 seconds for the led to turn on. than i can unplug the charger and wait for the led to turn on, reinsert the charger and i can turn it back on.
this issues occurs every single week atleast once, sometimes 2 or 3 times a week or non existent for a week.
my first tought was a hibernation mode but these where all turned on including the option within the bios.
my second tought was a hardware related issue
has anyone else experienced this kind of issue ?
ps: i also contacted the accountmanager but its februari 26th and i havent gotten a reply.

I have also been seeing this same issue on the same model. Laptops work fine for about a week and then they stop detecting a docking station is plugged in. Have tried updating drivers and firmware with no good results.
